Calling all Freelance Conservators

June 8, 2017 | By |

Hirst Conservation are always on the look out for conservators and specialist craftspeople. We work on projects in a great range of materials including stone, plaster, timber, painted and gilded surfaces and easel paintings. We welcome CVs from freelance conservators across a range of skills and specialisms.

At present we are particularly looking for conservators experienced in cleaning and consolidation of complex decorative surfaces, stone and plaster, and recreation of decorative schemes and gilding, for projects across the UK. We can also offer paid work placements for experienced conservation students.

Every conservation project requires a range of skills; as well as our highly experienced full time team we regularly work with a breadth of partners to harness the power of modern drones, 3d scanning and laser cutters as well as traditional specialists such as stone carvers, wallpaper printers and woodgrainers.

To send CVs, or get in touch to discuss vacancies and working with Hirst Conservation, please email Debbie at hirst@hirst-conservation.com
